I was
born in 1977 and grew up around the Martinsburg, WV area. I now reside in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a teenager, I got into Punk/Indy rock and skateboarding. Still to
this day they are the greatest influences in my life. I'm not quite sure what
my life would be without it. I am self taught, as an artist and life in
general. I have always made my own way in life, my own success and my own
failures. I knew at a young age that I would never be able to conform to the
"typical" expectations. What I have found is that the difference between good
and great is passion. You don't need to be a genius to figure out that a yuppie
with a PHD from Harvard can't teach passion.
I picked up my first paint brush back in 2001 and have
continued painting since. My painting style has developed based on trial and
error. I would say that my paintings in the past year most define my style.
Bold lines, bright colors, and distorted images. I usually paint about emotions
and people. You will see 2 major themes in my works: the battle between "good"
and "evil" and distortion in people.
