- What is resort casual? Wear something you'll feel comfortable in. For guys - khakis, slacks, collared shirts. For girls - skirts, dresses, blouse, slacks. Please no jeans, shorts, or t-shirts. We are encouraging flip-flops since is there really any better shoe?
- Do I need to rent a car? Transportation to/from the airport to Wailea is fairly expensive and it's more economical to rent a car. We are looking into hiring a shuttle bus to/from the luau pending interest and attendance. However, we are NOT providing transportation to/from the wedding ceremony and reception.
- What extra/random things should I bring? Camera, sunscreen, swimsuit/bikini, flip-flops, snorkel gear (if you have it...there are some offshore locations that you can swim to), bug spray (just in case!), hiking shoes or comfortable walking shoes if you plan to explore.
- What is the weather like in December? High's - mid 70's Low's - mid 60's. As with any tropical destination, there is always a chance of rain.
- Where are you staying? We are staying at the Ho'olei in the Grand Wailea Resort.
- What if I don't want to go to the luau, snorkel trip, or the "Pre-Platt" party? Do I have to go? We tried to schedule something each day as a group so that everyone would get a chance to meet new people or hang out with their old friends. We hope you will join us at one or all of the optional events we planned. The rest of the time is for you to enjoy as you please. I'm sure we'll always be up to something and if you can't find us...check the pool bar first!
